- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My husband had microvascular decompression surgery in January 2014 his Doctor was Doctor William Friedman. We almost made the mistake of a lifetime because we read some negative reviews, and thought about choosing a different Doctor. This is why we are writing today to help others in our position. My husband tried medicine first which only helped for a short time. The pain was so excruciating he could barley drink water. His pain was on the right side of his head and brought him to his knees when he tried to eat. We called Doctor Friedmans office and they got us in right way. We had a four hour drive from where we live.Doctor saw my husband the next day. Did I mention he was not even supposed to be in the office that day? He explained the choices to my husband and the risks. He did the surgery the next day. He came in and checked on my husband soon after surgery, and his team of Doctors could not have been more attentive to my husband who is 70 years old.The nurses treated us like family. My husband ate dinner the night of surgery without the jaw pain. Doctor Friedman doesn't have time to hold your hand because he is in surgery helping someone else in pain.
