- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪When deciding to pursue LASIK eye surgery, I initially purchased a Groupon from a different provider and had a poor screening experience (unable to get my eye prescription correct during the exam, unable to answer questions, did not meet the surgeon, etc.). I decided to schedule a free screening with Eye Associates and was very impressed with the thoroughness of the exam, the friendliness of staff, and ultimately my questions were answered and I met Dr. Sweeney BEFORE the surgery. My sister had PRK a few years ago and had less than 20/20 vision, saw starbursts at night, had to have a revision in one eye, and experienced dry eye, as well. I expected to have similar side effects/results as hers. I would be happy just to not wear glasses. Fast forward five months post-surgery; I am now enjoying life without glasses, have NO side effects and am experiencing better than 20/20 vision in both eyes. I could not be any happier with my decision to go with PRK and the results! If you have a big fear of things touching your eyes and difficulty with eye drops, don't count yourself out. The staff had a great deal of patience with me the day of surgery and were very reassuring (you'll get used to self-administering the eye drops). Some things that set them apart from other providers are: friendly staff, thorough exams, transparency in pricing, competitive pricing, attention to detail, and several post-op exams to monitor recovery, track changes, and answer questions along the way. Beginning with the front desk squeezing me in with little notice to the quick attention I received when I arrived. They have very professional Doctors and technicians which I would rate A+.
